Taking care of a child, feeding, teaching and helping them to develop, cannot be thought of as a menial job.
Looking after our elders when they need it most, in an exercise of loving patience, cannot be thought of as a menial job.
Cultivating a garden, understanding its internal rhythms and how it reacts to the seasons to help it always look its best, cannot be called a menial job.
Nor is it a menial job to upkeep a house, and maintain a clean and safe environment so that all of its members can prosper, or take care of transporting a family safely and comfortably.
All of these jobs, which often go unnoticed out of sheer disregard and also because of the modesty and dedication of those who carry them out, are vital.
